Real Transporters....

I find it incredible that so much dishonesty exists in the Transporting Industry, we broker contracts for various commodities and invariably a person will present himself as a Transporter owning Trucks etc, after negotiating and working the contract you discover that the person is in fact not a transporter and may know someone with trucks.

Are there any real live working Transporters on the Site?

Yes good point, and this is a reality as well. I suggest checking that the company is listed in the directory and a company profile or website address and can produce company registration etc and maybe ask for truck ownership documents etc if you want to be thorough.

During due diligence we do ask for company registration numbers and proof of registration. Do not be fooled, many have these docs but when you check with CIPRO they have been removed from the roll.

Point of fact, the one name we checked had been removed a few times, re-registering these companies under other credentials, so check the principle name as well.

So just asking for these docs does not assure legality, check with CIPRO at all times.
